    A telephonic venture
December looms close, and with our T-Mobile account coming to upgrade time, on a lark We went last week to see what's out there. I've had a love hate relationship with cell phones for a while now, had a variety of phones, especially since finding Draco and needing them as a lifeline to Him, but most of them were of the basic pellet variety. T-Mobile has been very good for Us so We wanted to stay with them.

Lately I've turned my eye toward the smart phones that are becoming ubiquitous, like the iphone so many are getting. After much research, the phone I most wanted to see - the Motorola Cliq - I'd already deemed likely too expensive for what I wanted to spend, but I still wanted to see it, and perhaps get lucky in the new year. One of Our housemates is moving out in February, and I have to hunker down and save My money so I can carry most of this house until We can find the right someone we know and want to take the room. I will never again advertise, this house is far too nice to compromise. We've been through enough in here and it's Our home. Thus, I have been reluctant to spend money at this time.

However, ever Slytherin, We've a knack of unearthing the unadvertised, impossible deals, or perhaps We used a little magic and mind trickery, but that We did, a week BEFORE black Friday, the chance to upgrade to the Cliq for next to nothing in only the third place We looked, so We took full advantage. So, We are now the proud and happy owners of this wonderful Android smart phone. I was nervous at first, it's a powerful device and I'll be figuring out this thing out for some time, but it delivers, is very user friendly, and I have to say I love it, it's already making My life easier.

    MOTOROLA CLIQ

I don't find The Cliq bulky at all, as the review states, it's sleek, it's gorgeous, and I like that it's heavy, it's solid and feels great in the hand, much like the Droid, but with a more domed slide out physical keyboard that is superb, which I wanted. The battery life isn't great, but that's typical for an Android phone, and you can charge them through the USB port on a computer, in the car, and outlet style, so I am not worried.

Better still, as We're on the family plan and I can add a few extra phones at upgrade rates, ie free or close to it, I looked at backup phones for taking places I would not want to bring the Cliq, the beach, bicycling, inline skating, riding, the gym, concerts, costuming gigs, anywhere it might be too easily damaged. In the Samsung Comeback We found a hardy but fun phone that I like more and more with every use, and I love the looks, very Stormtrooper in looks, with a nice pearl finish, Mine pearl and cherry, Draco has pearl and plum. Fittingly, I've already got The Imperial March on there as the ringtone.

The one caveat to getting such a great deal is that We could not keep Our old phone numbers, so if you want the new numbers, email or message Me privately.

    Current Mood: loved
    Current Music: Imperial March
