I hate it when i have confusing moments!!!
There are two horses i've been looking at for a while, one i think i like more than the other but i am unsure which one would be more suited for me.

I'm wondering what you guys think, opinion wise, seems i have a thing with Fire

1. Fire Dance
he is beautiful with four white stockings and beautiful face markings
He has crabbet breeding (which i'm very fond of)
He is still a colt
Has not been shown, is not broken and has not been floated
He comes from a small Arabian breeder
3 years old

2. Fire Maker
He is beautiful with 3 white socks and a blaze
He is a gelding
He has been shown (National Champion and East Coast Champion to date), broken and floated
From a world renouned large stud
3 years old

The thing is Fire maker is $500 extra than fire dance plus GST but he has been broken to saddle and gelded. I'm unsure if i would geld fire dance or not. I have not ridden much in 6 years and i would need to find a breaker if i purchased firedance and possibly have him gelded. I'm a little confused right now.

Should I go with the gelding who has been saddle broken and been to shows before or go with a colt i'd need to find a breaker for and do all the extra work?

They are both the same age and both gorgeous horses. I should post pics i guess too ay? :)

Also Firedance is $35 a week ajistment and firemaker is $110 a week, if i bought now i would have to pay ajistment until i got back. Firemakers price will be going up in a few weeks also because of his training.

And who knows, either of the horses may sell.

I also have to look at how appropriate having a stallion would be if i get into university, i have no idea if you can take a stallion, plus it may be alot of extra hastle for me.

I've also thought of buying a much cheaper horse ($1,000) and just having a cheaper horse for a couple of years while i can chill out and then buy a suitable mare for breeding or showing at a much higher price.

There is so much to think about!

I'd like to see both side by side. Howeer only you can truly make the choice. If it was me, I would wait, for there will be others, and I paid a horrible price for buying sight unseen, but you are not me, and I can understand the love for a particular type.

I would wait bub until I could see & touch both. I know you are smitten but buying something like that sight unseen would be a little silly.

But that is only what I think - up to you :)

yeah i thinkk ill wait too. I'm just terrified both will sell and ill have a terribly hard time to find a decent horse to buy, there has been scacely good enough horses out there for sale the past 8 months apart from those two.

Oh well. I'm guessing if it is meant to be it will all fall into place.
