Firedance
well the horse i talked about a few posts ago isn't sold yet. I emailed the owners and they have sent me more information about him and some photos of his Dam who looks beautiful. You can really see where he gets his markings from with his 8 crosses to Rissla.
I'd love to buy this horse, he is everything i would want in a horse. Everything I could dream for, I talked to Geoff about it and he thinks its a bad idea since we have no guarantee of having jobs when we get back. He wont talk to his work for another month about being transferred to Australia and working from home. So I have to wait a month, if he gets a transfer i will most probably get a vet check done and if all works out we'll buy him. I know it may seem silly to buy a horse sight unseen,He is from a stud so these people would have a reputation to uphold so i'm sure they would not lie to me. He is untrained and i dont mind doing that myself as unexperienced as i am in these things i'd be able to do it i'm sure, especially if i got some expert help (which i would do of course)
A lady from the US is going to see him in November so I hope ~fingers crossed~ that she doesnt buy him and import him to America :( I atleast want to have the possibility or chance of breeding to him down the track if i cannot buy him!
So I'll just sit and wait, if he is meant to be he is meant to be. We have the money it is just the timing. Geoff wants to buy the next book soon about keeping horses on small acerage, he is set on getting us atleast 2 acres when we get back to Australia, then we can build a stable and have our horses at home. Gatton where the school is (I hope my luck is good and i get in) the houses are cheaper, I saw a new house on two acres for something like $250,000 which isnt bad.
I just hope with all my heart the transition moving back to Australia is smooth, everything works out, we get a mortgage, i get into school, geoff gets transferred or gets a job.
~crossed fingers~
I am bound to have some luck somewhere
